In January, the seaports of Ukraine increased container turnover by 34.4%
According to the actual data of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), in January 2019 sea ports of Ukraine increased container turnover compared to the same period last year by 34.4% – up to 77 521 TEU.
Processing of export containers increased by 36.6% (to 37 327 TEU), transit containers – by 92.7% (to 4385 TEU). Processing of imported containers decreased by 5.5% (to 26,505 TEU). The transshipment of containers in the internal communication amounted to 9304 TEU.
Odessa sea port increased container turnover by 15.9% (up to 48 206 TEU): including transshipment of export containers increased by 29.6% (up to 23 012 TEU), transit – by 37.2% (up to 2627 TEU), and processing of imported containers decreased by 39.5% (up to 13 263 TEU). Port “Yuzhny” increased container turnover by 3.5 times (up to 18 849 TEU): including transshipment of imported containers increased by 2.9 times (up to 8698 TEU), export – by 3.9 times (up to 8393 TEU), transit – by 12.4 times (up to 1758 TEU). The port of Chornomorsk reduced container turnover by 0.4% (to 10 453 TEU): including transshipment of export containers decreased by 20% (to 5909 TEU), and processing of import containers increased by 46.1% (to 4544 TEU). Port “Olvia” reworked 11 TEU against 243 TEU a year earlier.
