In July 2022, Ukrzaliznytsia transported more than 10 million tons of cargo

According to operational data, in July 2022, cargo transportation of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” increased by 9% — 10 million 302 thousand tons were transported, while in June 9 million 432 thousand tons were transported. In internal traffic, transportation increased by 10.5%, including exports — by 8.7%, and imports — by 4.5%. This is reported by the press service of company.

«Internal transportation, exports, and imports have also increased. Only transit has not increased, because it is practically non-existent. Transportation of most of our key cargoes increased: grain, ore, coal, ferrous metals, diesel, building materials, etc. They asked for transportation of cars, coke, scrap metal, salt and oil», Oleksandr Kamyshin, Head of Ukraine Railways, told to journalists.

He also noted that Ukrzaliznytsia is doing everything possible for the constant growth of cargo transportation, primarily export cargo. The company has very high hopes for unblocking seaports for grain in order to increase grain exports as soon as possible.
