Cargo turnover of Ukrainian seaports increased by almost 50% in January

During January 2022, 15,093 million tons of cargo were handled in the seaports of Ukraine. This figure is 50.2% more compared to the same period in 2021. This is evidenced by the data of the SE Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Processing of export cargo increased by 47.5% — to 11.527 million tons, import — by 68.2% — to 2.634 million tons, transit — by 16.7% — to 817.4 thousand tons, coastal – by 3.8 times – to 214.1 thousand tons.

Transshipment of bulk cargo increased by 2.7% to 989.8 thousand tons. Transshipment of bulk dry cargo increased by 73.8% to 11.365 million tons.

Container turnover increased by 7.3% to 81,211 TEU. Transshipment of containers in weight terms increased by 16.9% to 972.9 thousand tons.
