China became Ukraine’s largest trading partner in the 1st quarter of 2021

According to the State Customs Service, in the first quarter of 2021, Ukraine increased exports of goods by 12% compared to the same period last year — to $13.7 bn, imports of goods increased by 12% — to $15.1 bn.

China became the largest export market for Ukraine in the reporting period, deliveries to which amounted to $ 1.9 bn. The second place was taken by Poland — $1 bn, the third place was taken by Turkey — $841 m.

China is also the largest importer to the Ukrainian market. The volume of imports from China amounted to $2.3 bn. The second most important supplier of products to Ukraine in this period was Germany, from where goods worth $1.3 bn were shipped. The third place was taken by Russian Federation — $ 1.2 bn.

Most of all, Ukraine sells the following goods abroad: ferrous metals — $2.7 bn; grain — $2.2 bn; ore — $1.8 bn. But most of all we import: mineral fuels, oil and products of its distillation — $2.6 bn; boilers, machinery, equipment — $1.6 bn; vehicles — $1.5 bn.
