The EU expects an agreement on the release of Ukrainian ports this week

The European Union is counting on an agreement between Ukraine and the aggressor country – the russian federation – to unblock grain exports from Ukrainian seaports this week. This was announced by the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrel.

“We are doing everything possible to export grain through the solidarity corridors through the Black Sea, through Bulgaria and Romania, but this is not enough, so I hope this week for an agreement on the release of Odesa and other Ukrainian ports”, – Borrel said.

According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, the resumption of grain exports from Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea is impossible without security guarantees for shipowners, cargo owners and Ukraine as an independent state.
