A regular container train to Kyiv was launched from the port of Odessa
According to the press service of the SE “OSCP”, the container train No. 1182/1181 set off on its first flight on the route Odessa-Port – Kyiv-Liski – Odessa-Port consisting of 40 fitting platforms. According to the schedule, the train will leave weekly from Odessa on Mondays at 6:29 pm with arrival at the destination at 2:30 pm the next day. Departure from Kyiv is planned on Sundays at 10:30 with the arrival at the Odessa-Port station at 05:53 Monday.
This direction was already the fourth regular container route from the port of Odessa, which in 2018 was organized by PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia together with the port administration and two container terminal operators, SC “CTO” and Brooklyn Kiev Port LLC. Before that, block trains were launched in the direction of Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro and Kharkiv.
It is noted that, in turn, the administration of the port of Odessa considers the increase in the number of container trains as an important stage in the introduction of European approaches to the organization of multimodal service.
