In January-September, the turnover of containers in the Ukrainian seaports increased by 15%

According to SE “‎Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” (USPA), for the first nine months of this year, the sea ports of Ukraine increased container turnover by 15% compared to the same period last year — up to 591 314 TEU. In the processing of import containers totaled 292 084 TEU, export — 277 026 TEU, and transit — 22 204 TEU.
As before, the leader in container turnover is Odessa sea port (71.9% of the total container turnover of Ukrainian seaports), which increased by 14.4% to 425 071 TEU (import — 217 950 TEU, export — 188 929 TEU, transit — 18 192 TEU).
Port of Chornomorsk (based on the data of the Maritime administration of the Chornomorsk Fishing Seaport) with the figure of 88 733 TEU; Port of Yuzhny increased the turnover of containers by 57.3% to 77 185 TEU (import — 9 875 TEU, export — 517 33 TEU, transit — 3793 TEU); and the Secialized Port of Olvia processed TEU 325 (35 TEU in 2017 over the same period).
