Since the beginning of 2019, Ukrainian seaports have increased cargo turnover by 3.4%

According to the actual data of SE “The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority” (USPA), in January 2019, ports of Ukraine increased cargo turnover by 3.4% — up to 11.194 million tons (compared to the same period in 2018).

The processing of export goods increased by 12.5% — to 8,751 million tons. Transshipment of imported goods decreased by 23.3% — to 1.623 million tons, transit-by 12.5%, to 755.1 thousand tons, in domestic traffic – by 8.6%, to 64.45 thousand tons.

It should be noted that the processing of containers in weight terms increased by 36.9% — to 1.03 million tons, and the container turnover as a whole increased by 34.4% — to 77 521 TEU.

Leaders by the volume of cargo handling: Yuzhny port — 3.58 million tons (an increase of 10.5%), port of Mykolayiv — 2.32 million tons (an increase of 18.8%), port of Chornomorsk – 1.97 million tonnes (an increase of 7.6%), port of Odessa — 1.93 million tonnes (an increase of 7.5%).
