Since the beginning of 2020, Ukrainian seaports have increased cargo turnover by 3.7%

According to the operational data of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority, from January to September 2020, Ukrainian seaports increased cargo turnover by 3.7% compared to the same period last year — up to 118.78 million tons.

Thus, the transshipment of export cargo increased by 5.6% to 91.1 million tons, and coastal cargo — by 31% to 1.8 million tons. At the same time, cargo processing in imports decreased by 3.1% to 18 million tons, and in transit — by 5.5% to 7.7 million tons.

Transshipment of grain cargo reached 35.3 million tons, ore-33.8 million tons (+25.5%). Processing of ferrous metals amounted to 12.86 million tons (+8.9%), oil — 4.49 million tons (+5.6%). Container turnover increased by 8.3% to 772.9 thousand TEU.
