According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, since the beginning of the 2018/2019 season Ukraine increased grain exports to 32.3 million tons from 26.9 million tons in the same period of the previous season.

In particular, corn export increased to almost 15.8 million tons from 9.6 million tons, while wheat exports decreased to 12.5 million tons from 13.2 million, respectively. In addition, barley exports amounted to 3.3 million tons, and flour – 172.5 thousand. tons.

The Ministry increased its grain export forecast for the 2018/2019 season to 49 million tons from the previous forecast of 47.2 million tons. Last season, Ukraine sold 39.4 million tons of grain abroad..

In January, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy urged traders to comply with the terms of the export memorandum, since they had already sent abroad most of the wheat volume agreed for the 2018/19 season. The government and traders last year agreed that this season exports will not exceed 16 million tons of wheat, including 8 million tons of milling wheat.
