The storm put ashore five vessels in UAE

The ship Abbay (IMO 8303018) became one of the five cargo ships that were thrown ashore during a storm in the cities of Sharjah and Umm al-Quwain (UAE) on 3 February 2017, reports Lloyd’s list.

The height of waves reached 8 m. Three vessels stranded in the Al Hamriya area, one vessel in the beach area of Al Hira, and one ship in the area of Umm Al Quwain.

All crew members were rescued by the coast guard, UAE and delivered to the Bank.
