The Strategy of development of the Ukrainian seaports will be approved within two months
On March 22-23, the first British-Ukrainian Maritime Industries Forum is taking place in Odessa. It brought together representatives of the port infrastructure companies, public authorities, business associations, financial and consulting institutions. During the event, acting Chairman of The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) Raivis Veckagans said that at present the main task of USPA is to approve the Strategy for the Development of Ukrainian seaports within two months. On the way to achieving this goal, meetings were held with stevedores, cargo owners and other companies operating in Ukrainian ports. It is noted that more than 40 investment projects are planned to be launched in the ports in the framework of the Strategy implementation, the volumes of transshipment will significantly increase, more than 4 thousand new jobs in the maritime industry will appear.
