In connection with the modernization of the infrastructure, Ukrzaliznytsia decided to temporarily restrict the transportation of transit cargo through the territory of Ukraine.

“Currently, work is underway to electrify the Kovel-Izov-State Border section and repair and track work to modernize the Znamenka-Zdolbuniv section. In this regard, the capacity in the direction of Poland has decreased to 350 wagons per day. These volumes are not enough to ensure transportation within the stipulated time, therefore, it was decided to temporarily introduce a Convention to ban transit rail transportation on the territory of Ukraine,” the UZ press service reported.

It is noted that after the completion of infrastructure works, transportation will be restored and customers will be informed about it.
